Despite the ravages of the coronavirus, more than 400 riders will travel to Christchurch this weekend for the FIRST Windows & Doors BMXNZ National Championships.
We all know that our sport can not be completed without the continual support of volunteers. The BMXNZ National Championships is less than 10 weeks away and we are searching for Volunteers in all areas of officiating.

The best BMX riders in the country have grouped in Christchurch to decide the elite titles in the FIRST Windows and Doors New Zealand Championships at the weekend.
Among the riders at NZCT AIMS Games BMX racing at the Tauranga BMX track is Lily Hovell from Chisnallwood Intermediate School in Christchurch. Year 8 Lily is a typical student – who loves taking part in everything she can at school.
Returning to Wellington from the 2015 National champs in Christchurch there was no time for resting. I began my Worlds prep just days after returning. I spent 12 weeks working hard both on the bike and in the classroom.
What an awesome weekend! Christchurch turned on the weather and the Christchurch City BMX Club turned on an amazing event! The track was well prepared and by all accounts was very popular with the riders.
