New Plymouth BMX riders have shown they can compete with the country’s best at the national championships. A team of 27 riders travelled to Puni, Auckland, to contest for titles – with nine reaching the top eight in their categories.
It’s very easy at club level to focus on rider development, track development, competitions, and solvency/funding issues, because these are the day to day management needs of the club.
Labour weekend is always an action packed weekend in Taupō, but adding arguably the best event on the BMX NZ calendar with 700 odd BMX’ers to the district just made it even better!

The Sunset Coast Club has confirmed that the Puni facility will be open for riding each Wednesday night 13th/20th/27th of January 2016, leading up to the Auckland Champs & Oceania’s.
Lewis Atkinson from Pakuranga’s Mountain Raiders BMX Club dominated in the biggest group of BMX racers to become the North Island champion at the BMX New Zealand North Island Titles in Taupo over Labour weekend.
