As a result of very positive feedback from the recent AGM, BMXNZ would like to gain further feedback from the general sport regarding the following proposal.
Nationals Date Change Proposal
BMXNZ recently released a proposed option of a format change of the BMXNZ calendar to the sport for feedback. The clubs of the sport had their say at the recent AGM with a positive indication to push forward with the change of the Challenge Nationals date away from Easter weekend.
The NEW proposal accepted by the club representatives at AGM, was to move Nationals to the first weekend in March each year. This would put the event on the weekend of 7th-8th of March 2020
While we are talking to all the clubs with events around this weekend, we need to get feedback from the sport to see if there are families that may have pre-booked flights/accommodation /leave for the Easter date & see what issue the change may create, IF we change the date.
If you have made solid bookings for Easter Nationals that cannot be changed let us know. Please e-mail admin@bmxnz.co.nz with your comments.
Please get your comments back to BMXNZ by the end of Monday the 8th of July. Remember this is not a solid change, but we are reviewing the effects it may have.
Once we get the response, BMXNZ will make a call with the clubs effected & release the NEW season calendar.
