Walker revealed she is back on her bike for the first time since her training accident five weeks ago that resulted in a double fracture.

The injury cast doubts over he ability to make the Rio Olympics and try and better the silver medal she won at the 2012 Games in London.
But Walker is confident she can make the Olympics, although she has admitted to nerves over getting back on her bike.
“I was pretty nervous but also very excited, I was 99 per cent sure it would be okay,” Walker told Newstalk ZB of her first tentative ride since the accident in Cambridge in March.
“I just rolled around in the carpark so nothing really extreme yet.
“I am only five weeks post-surgery on Saturday this weekend so I am easing back into it and not doing anything silly.
“If I push it too hard too quickly then it is going to take even longer, so I’d like to think I’m a good patient.”
Walker was relieved to be riding again after being restricted to gym and fitness work since the arm injury.
Walker will visit a specialist next week to see if she can increase her training but she believed she had “heaps of time” to prepare for the world championships in Colombia and a tilt for Olympic qualification.
