BMXNZ is seeking expression of interest for entry to the 2022 UCI BMX World Championships in Nantes, France.
To express your interest in this event, please reply to this email admin@bmxnz.co.nz with your riders name, the class/es they wish to enter, who you will travel with if under 18yrs. E-mail address and contact number in NZ. BMXNZ will then arrange information to be sent to all interested parties on the application process and requirements.
Following the Cycling New Zealand (CNZ) position on international competition, entry to the 2022 World Championships for any eligible rider can now be considered subject to event and entry conditions being confirmed. These event safety conditions are reliant on the host to supply its COVID protocols.
Entry conditions will be extensive, in the form of an International Event Entry Application (IEEA), that will require all entry applicants supplying a full trip risk management plan, detail health processes for all travel and event locations, insurance and financial cover.
Please be aware that any costs, including risk outcomes from COVID will be the responsibility of the entrants. For riders under 18 years, an accompanying Parent/guardian will also be required.
The timelines are short and must allow for the rigorous entry assessment process to confirm applicants understand the risks and issues when travelling within a global pandemic and have suitable mitigation processes in place.
