As you may suspect BMXNZ are working through all our health and safety procedures to ensure we’re ready to welcome you back safely under any level of the new Covid Protection Framework (CPF) or the ‘Traffic Light System’ in simple terms.
There is a lot to unpack & format into our sport, so more detail will become available as we can have it ready for you as a sport Policy. As of today BMXNZ wants to confirm with you all that BMX as a sport will be required to follow the CPF levels for all BMX sanctioned events.
Therefore, when we enter the Government’s COVID-19 Protection Framework on December the 3rd, all BMX Events will require all eligible people 12yrs and over who wish to attend a BMX Event, must present a valid My Vaccine Pass from the Ministry of Health.
Additionally, BMXNZ will also require all event volunteers working on-site at an event to also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a valid My Vaccine Pass from the Ministry of Health.
For ALL riders 12yrs and over entered into existing events, this policy is likely to impact your upcoming event. We are still confirming how this process will be implemented on-site, but in the meantime, we encourage you to get your My Vaccine Pass from the Ministry of Health.
If you are no longer able to attend an event due to the implementation of this government policy please get in touch with the host club (or BMXNZ for Norths or Souths) and we’ll organise a full refund.
