The BMX New Zealand Board recently met to review applications and agree upon the allocation of the BMXNZ Major Events for 2020. The Board received some quality applications and we are really grateful for the ongoing interest shown by Clubs and Regions to host these major race meetings.
The process is always challenging and there are hard decisions to make to balance what is good for clubs, regions and the sport as a whole. So with the above in mind…
The Board has decided on the following allocations for 2020:
BMXNZ South Island Titles – hosted by the Mainland South Region at Alexandra
FIRST BMXNZ National Championships – hosted by the Mainland North Region at North Avon Christchurch
BMXNZ North Island Titles – hosted by the Waikato Region at Te Awamutu
We look forward to working with these Regions and Clubs to deliver excellent events for the sport.
