All 2017 Championship Riders, Please find in the link below the UPDATED selection documents for BMX. This is used for selection of a team to attend the 2017 UCI BMX World Championships, as per Schedule 1.

I implore all championship riders, especially juniors wanting to be selected for this event to read these documents & be completely informed, black & white, about the criteria, fill in the application form & get it to Cycling New Zealand. I would also suggest that you get in contact with the team at CNZ & make the time to get to know them & help them get to know you.
This selection process is completely a CNZ process, so you need to know & understand what is needed, not get info from someone else & not run to your interpretation of the rules. Please get to know your CNZ contacts & find out exactly what you need to do.
Selection release dates are – 25 April 2017 for Junior Team & 23 May 2017 for Elite Team
On a side note, BMXNZ is endeavouring to continue the SUPERseries for NZ based riders, in the first half of 2017 with the aim to offer the best possible NZ environment to race in. This is in no way a trial or a selection series. But we will work with CNZ to give riders unable to travel for international racing a window to show their abilities to those that want to see it.
