BikeNZ and BMX New Zealand are introducing a new selection series to assist in the selection of riders who wish to represent New Zealand in the championship classes at the UCI BMX World Championships.
This series, that will start in 2015, forms part of the overall selection process, details of which can be found in the BikeNZ policy on selection.
The format will be the same for each year:
- Rounds 1 & 2 are to be held at the Sunset Coast BMX facility on the 8 metre ramp. This event will be held on the Auckland Anniversary weekend and will include Time Trials and racing.
- Rounds 3 & 4 will be included within the BMX New Zealand National Championships and include the BMX New Zealand UCI – CN event.*
Riders will be required to hold a current BMX NZ Championship licence and compete in all rounds of the series**

*These events may be moved from the BMX New Zealand National Championships should a conflict of dates occur with International UCI events.
**These events are for all Championship classes and all riders including BikeNZ High Performance members wishing to be considered for selection must enter this series. Riders who are in NZL at the time of the events must attend and compete at the events, unless dispensation is provided in writing by BikeNZ and BMX New Zealand prior to the event date.
