Tuhoto-Ariki Pene, a recent BMX’er turned Downhill Mountain Biker as put his skills to task on the bigger wheels walking away with Gold at the recent MTBNZ Nationals in the U19 class.
With “interesting” conditions of snow, minus 2deg temperatures and high winds at the Cardrona Ski Field course, he pulled out the run of the day and crossed the line 2.17sec up on second place.
