BMXNZ Board Change

BMXNZ Board Change

Announced at the recent Board meeting, Board member Pete Roden has stepped down from his position within BMX New Zealand to take on a role on the Cycling New Zealand Board.

This placement is an exciting step for Pete and he is looking forward to overseeing & working with a broader scope in cycling, including Road, Track, Mountain Biking, Schools, Cycling and of course BMX.

BMXNZ supported his application to an open position on the CNZ Board due to a recent retirement & Pete’s keenness to step into another governance role.

The BMXNZ Board would like to thank Pete for all his efforts & wishes him all the best in his new role.

We will of course keep the communication lines open with Pete given the close ties that BMX has with CNZ, which as of now has grown closer.

For our sport, the Board has discussed the open position and will not fill it unless a suitable person with the right skills & focus is available to step into the BMXNZ Board space.

If there are any questions or queries regarding this change in the Board, please contact Dion Earnest in the first instance.
